Serena Williams’ Instagram Message after Wimbledon Defeat is an Inspiration For Moms Everywhere

Serena Williams, one of the greatest tennis players of all time took a moment on Instagram to inspire fellow mothers following her upsetting Wimbledon loss.

Williams, who gave birth less than a year ago, came up short and then lost to Angelique Kerber, but that didn’t dishearten her to dedicate her famed London Grand Slam performance “all moms,” working and stay-at-home.

She started by writing how she felt privileged to have returned to the court and then dedicating her Instagram post to particular group of women. “These past two weeks was amazing. It was also a sound for all moms stay home and working you can do it you really can!” she wrote.

She further identified herself as one with the millions of working moms, urging them to continue soaring in their endeavours. “I’m not any better or diff than any of you all. Your support has ment so much to me. Let’s keep making noise everyday in everything we do,” she wrote.

But her defeat did not blight her spirit and she ended her note by telling her fans that she’s excited for the next challenges ahead:

“I’ll be back (and soon too) Road to the Us Open is next! Stay strong no matter what. Oh and this is just the beginning. Love you.”
